Alix Schulz is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law at Heidelberg University.
Alix studied law in Freiburg and Helsinki and holds an MJur-degree from the University of Oxford. Her research focus lies on international family law, comparative equality law and legal gender studies. In her doctoral thesis, she is exploring the topic of “Gender Self-Determination in Private International Law”. Alix is also a local correspondent for the Oxford Human Rights Hub and co-organiser of this year’s German Conference for Young PIL Scholars.
