Anne CheungAnne S.Y. Cheung is a professor at the University of Hong Kong. She received her legal education at the University of Hong Kong, the University of Toronto, University of London and Stanford University. Her research interests include freedom of expression, privacy, children’s rights (including cyberbullying). She has been a committee member of the Hong Kong Press Council and a member of the Institute for Internet & Society, Berlin, Germany. She worked on the Open Net Initiative (Asia) Project to study online freedom of speech in the form of blogging in China, and studied privacy protection in Hong Kong and China with Privacy International (UK). Her works have been published in the Harvard Journal of International Law (Online)(selected as Feature Article);  Computer Law and Security Review; International Data Privacy Law; and Journal of Media Law. Her recent work is Privacy and Legal Issues in Cloud Computing (co ed with Rolf H. Weber, Edward Elgar Pub. UK 2015). Her current research projects include China's social credit system, cyberbullying and children's rights.
