Bettina HeiderhoffProfessor Dr Bettina Heiderhoff is Director of the Institute for German and International Family Law at the University of Münster, Germany, where she also holds a chair for Private Law, Private International Law and International Procedural law. Her research interests in family law are currently focussed on modern family forms, such as patchwork, same-sex or multiparent families. Lately she has also been working on constitutional aspects of family law and on surrogacy. Apart from national family law, Bettina specialises in European and International family procedure, and in conflict of laws.

Bettina has worked with Dr Jens M. Scherpe in various contexts. Together with partners from many renowned universities they have been running the European Doctorate Programme "PEPP" for ten years now.
