Jens Scherpe elected to Council of the European Law Institute

At the 2019 Annual Conference and General Assembly of the European Law Institute (ELI), Jens Scherpe was elected to serve on the Council of the European Law Institute. In the current challenging international environment, he hopes to ensure that the views of England & Wales are still heard in the major European projects undertaken by ELI. Scherpe was also invited to join the ELI High Level Expert Group on Family and Succession Law. The purpose of the Expert Group is to determine the future working fields of ELI in the areas of Family and Succession Law.
